An Indian trading cloth

Coromandel Coast, India

A large mounted cloth, hand drawn to a lattice design, as a furnishing length, on the Coromandel coast of India influence by the bazaar Brocades made in Italy at the time.  Traded to Sri Lanka and kept as a dowry heirloom textile. Collected in Sri Lanka, in 2001
